(Browser basics)

What cookies are

Cookies are small files placed on your device by a website. Local storage and similar technologies let a website save or access small pieces of information in your browser.

These technologies can keep a site working, remember preferences, secure a session, measure usage, or support advertising. This website currently uses browser storage in a limited way.

(Active storage)

What this site uses

Sound preference: when you use the site sound control, the public site stores a first-party local storage value to remember whether website sounds are enabled or disabled in your browser.

Contact form protection: the server processes request metadata, including IP address, to rate limit contact form submissions. This does not require a browser cookie in the current implementation.

Cloudflare Web Analytics: on the production public site, a performance analytics beacon measures traffic and page performance without storing or reading cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or other browser storage for usage metrics.

Restricted internal tools: areas intended only for authorized users may use authentication or session cookies. These tools are not intended for general website visitors.

(Traffic measurement)

Analytics and advertising

The production public site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand traffic and performance. Cloudflare states that this analytics beacon does not use client-side storage such as cookies or localStorage to collect usage metrics.

The current public website code does not include advertising cookies, third-party advertising tags, or analytics cookies. If we add advertising or other non-essential cookies later, we will update this policy and, where required, request consent before those technologies are used.

(How long it lasts)

Storage duration

The sound preference remains in your browser until you change the sound setting or clear this website's local data.

Cloudflare Web Analytics does not store analytics identifiers in your browser through cookies or local storage.

Authentication or session cookies for restricted internal tools are managed by the relevant tool and browser session settings.

Server logs and contact-form rate-limit records are handled separately from browser cookie storage.

(Your controls)

Managing preferences

You can change the website sound setting using the sound control in the site interface.

You can also block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. If you clear local storage, the website may forget your sound preference. Blocking all storage may affect features that depend on remembered choices or secure sessions.

Consent changes

If we add analytics that uses cookies, advertising, or other non-essential cookies or similar technologies later, we will provide any consent controls required by applicable law before those technologies are used.

(Policy changes)

Updates

We may update this cookie policy when the website, providers, or browser storage practices change. The date at the top of the page shows when this policy was last updated.
